As you may have read in the very first post of this blog, one of the main reasons why we started this project is to show the world that naturists are not some strange dark commune but that actually everyone could be one… Or could enjoy being one if they took the first step.
Our main example of “everyone” is of course ourselves, we write posts about naturism in general but also about our own experiences. But some of you might be thinking “Yes sure, those two are probably just the strange kids in the block…” (nah, we know you’re not thinking that about us, but we’re trying to write an introduction here). So we decided to let other naturists have a word as well.
So please sit back and get inspired!
Meanwhile we already published several interviews with people from all over the world. You can find them in the The Naturist Talks section.
Today we’re listening to Eric’s story. Eric is 37 and lives in Canada.
Hello Eric, tell us something about yourself
Hi I’m Eric and I live in Ontario, Canada. I’m off work right now for medical reasons, but when I work I’m a machine / forklift operator. I don’t drive, so getting around is limited to busses . I have 2 cats same age they’re brothers . I’m hopelessly addicted to video games . My girlfriend is the most amazing person though not a nudist, but she supports me and does nudist things with me .
How and at what age did you become a naturist?
I started noticing an urge to be nude when I was about 14-15 years old, but I wasn’t educated on the life style and thought it was kinda wrong to do it, I guess. My parents are a bit old fashioned, but eventually they did start to support me. when my mother was alive she objected but supported, my dad supports in his own way. About 9 years ago it was a killer hot day and because I have no A/C I decided to quit clothes and found myself researching the lifestyle. I love it!
Is naturism allowed in your country and what’s the public opinion?
I would say no, it’s not supported. it’s frustrating and VERY difficult to find friends that are in to it. My city has no nudist friendly things to do that I can find and there seem to be no people on nudist sites in my city with whom I can try to be friends. It really blows my mind that a naked body can be so offensive and that society has deemed any nudity to automatically sexual no matter what.
We hate to divide people into groups, but we’ll do it anyway…
Do you consider yourself a naturist, a nudist or an occasional nudist?
Do you consider yourself a naturist, a nudist or an occasional nudist?
I would consider myself a nudist , I’m naked as much as possible.
Do you find it easy to make naturist friends?
I’ve spent a lot of time at the nude beach and everyone I met there is sooooo nice. I also met some nudists online but so far we’ve only chatted. I have no nudist friends, if anyone comes over or when I go out I have to get dressed. A lot of my friends support but will not partake. rd.
What’s the best tip you have for beginning naturists?
Start out being naked at home and get fully comfortable with your naked self. Do whatever you would normally do, just do it naked.
Except for cooking stuff that splatters!! Hehe
Anything else you’d like to share with our audience?
I think I covered everything in the previous answers, but I just want to say that this is a great idea guys!
Thank you so much for your participation Eric!

I have always been a naturist. I agree, it’s hard to find people to hang out with who are interested.
Anyone in Mississauga who is interested, contact me!
Malta is probably the only country in Europe where public nudity is still prohibited and Malta’s nudists either go to some unofficial nudist beach where one risks being outnumbered by peeping toms or have to rent some villa or converted farmhouse. But not all can afford this!
